Theme song

I have this song always stuck in my head. Its my theme song..theme for my life. At first when I came to know that few people have theme songs,I thought it was silly. But now I have got addicted to this.I sing it when I am happy, sad or just feeling low.Sometimes I sing it loud or tap my fingers only to get weird stares from people around me.It really helps to feel good about myself.I now often sing it in my head when I walk to office in the morning and I'm lot more cheerful to face the day ahead. Here is excerpt from it.

I've been down.. this road
walking along ...swallowing my pride
and I have made mistakes in my life
that I...just cant hide
oh I believe i'm ready..

to what world has got for me
got myself together.. now I'm ready to sing
I've been searhing for my soul tonight

got so much to see in life
and got to shine a light
and find my way back home...

so, the reader has any?

I don't have a single all-time theme song as such... But I've got certain songs for certain situations...

1) The song that works for any situation is "Nothing else matters" of Metallica

Trust I seek and I find in you
Every day for us something new
Open mind for a different view
And nothing else matters

Never care for what they say
Never care for games they play
Never care for what they do
Never care for what they know
And I know
Nothing else matters
2) One absolute josh song is "Wildest dreams" of Iron Maiden

I'm gonna organize some changes in my life
I'm gonna exorcise the demons of my past
I'm gonna take the car and hit the open road
I'm feeling ready to just open up and go

And I just feel I can be anything
That all I might ever wish to be
and fantasize just what I want to be
Make my wildest dreams come true
3) Song best for retrospection is "Estranged" of GNR

When I find out all the reasons
Maybe I'll find another way
Find another day
With all the changing seasons of my life
Maybe I'll get it right next time

Well I jumped into the river too many times
to make it home
I'm out here on my own, and drifting all alone
If it doesn't show give it time
To read between the lines
'Cause I see the storm getting closer
And the waves they get so high
Seems everything We've ever known's here
Why must it drift away and die
4) More retrospection - "High hopes" from Pink Floyd

Encumbered forever by desire and ambition
There's a hunger still unsatisfied
Our weary eyes still stray to the horizon
Though down this road we've been so many times
5) Song that provides hope - "Another day" of Dream Theater

Live another day
Climb a little higher
Find another reason to stay

Ashes in your hands
Mercy in your eyes
If you searching for a silent sky

You won't find it here
Look another way,
You won't find it here
So, try another day...
sorry - there just are many more songs. could'nt have made this any less shorter...
so much for an elaborate comment :-)

i find it rather strange having a theme song for life, i mean sing it just to make oneslf happy? why not just do something that can make yourself happy and contended instead of just singing away the blues

it sounds strange coz its unusual. When this does help to cheer up then why not sing? Its not a solution to all life's problem but its just a way of lightening up the situation and helping yourself to face the problem.

Movies have theme songs. Life is lot big, to be tied to one.

never swallow the pride, burn it, it is a high octane fuel.

p.s
u'r them song is too heavy for someone barely out of tweens, with pride, light, home. mine for the time being is "i got knocked down but i......"

This cant be compared to theme songs of movies. They are meaningless just running in the background.Yes my theme song sounds heavy with words.but they just reflect my experiences till now.

i have two- "don't change" by inxs:

I'm standing here on the ground
The sky above won't fall down
See no evil in all direction
Resolution of happiness
Things have been dark
For too long

Don't change for you
Don't change a thing for me

I found a love I had lost
It was gone for too long
Hear no evil in all directions
Execution of bitterness
Message received loud and clear

Don't change for you
Don't change a thing for me

I'm standing here on the ground
The sky above won't fall down
See no evil in all directions
Resolution of happiness
Things have been dark for too long

Don't change for you
Don't change a thing for me

(inxs used to play it at the end of every concert- i believe it was their final song for most, if not all, encores)

and "take on me" by aha:

Talking away
I don't know what
I'm to say
I'll say it anyway
Today is not my day to find you
Shying away
I'll be coming for your love, OK?

Take on me (take on me)
take me on (take on me)
I'll be gone
In a day or two

So needless to say
I'm odds and ends
But I'll be stumbling away
Slowly learning that life is OK.
Say after me
It's no better to be safe than sorry

Take on me (take on me)
Take me on (take on me)
I'll be gone
In a day or two

Oh the things that you say
Yeah, is it a life or
Just a play my worries away
You're all the things I've got to remember
You're shying away
I'll be coming for you anyway

Take on me (take on me)
take me on (take on me)
I'll be gone
In a day or two

just passing through aand wanted to leave my two cents.....
