One question I usually ask my guy friends is, what do they find attractive in a woman. This has always been a very interesting topic of discussion for me coz sometimes I get very surprising answers. Eyes, face, figure has been some of the common things listed but one thing that is common to almost 99% of the guys I have talked to, is long hair. I simply dont understand why! Long hair does add beauty to a girl but there are girls who look pretty in very short hair too. It just depends on the way they style and groom it, which I am really bad at. If good hair matters then I am one of the ugliest females living!
One answer was unique, the guy first observes the girl's arms. If they are in good shape then that makes the girl sexy.Very interesting. I never knew this before. But its not funny, its just his point of view. There is one guy I know who first sees the girl's nails. If they are well groomed and painted with rich colors she is found to be sexy. Now that is weird. Just nails makes someone attractive?
Then there is the dress and accessories that come into picture. I find it very funny that guys find girls in modern attire, with short skirts and jeans very appealing but once they have a girlfriend, she looks good only in a salwar kameez, so insist on wearing that. Why is that? I asked my friend and he had this to say - Girls look pretty in jeans but they look beautiful in salwar kameez. Really?!
Talking too much is a turn off. But if she is silent most of the times, the girl is considered to be dim-witted. Good smile kills, but if she smiles too much, she is a flirt. Lean girls are OK, voluptuous is better but fat girls are funny. She must be intelligent but shouldn't give smart advices. Hmmm, so are men epitome of perfection?

the way i see it is, its not just the nails or the hair or the clothing as such that makes some one attracted to a girl, its the fact that the girl cares about herself, her self-confident, makes herself presentable is what is attractive. i wouldnt find a fat girl funny, though entirely not their fault, they just seem a careless about their appearance, so some see it as "if she doesnt really care about herself, would she care about me?"
long or short hair, is just a matter of preference, like favourite color or food. beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. i find a self-confident, independent, smart chick always sexy..
Well, certainly men arent perfect and I am sure they dont think so either. For that matter dont we have an endless list of what we want in guys? So that really doesnt mean we think we are perfect! There's no harm in desiring for the best thats all! (And its strange, but I see myself here supporting guys for reasons yet to be discovered...)
Yeah...looks are very temporary. A smart, head-on-shoulders, confident girl can floor me any day. And looks can go to hell.

aaahhhhh... i can list out hazaar things abt wat i find attractive in a girl... but trust me, guys wont look at "one particular thing" about a girl... its the overall personality, physical as well as characteristic features... and if i talk abt myself, i have found quite a few girls INTERESTING, and its not coz i found thier nails pretty, or coz they have a long hair, or they are slim n have perfect 'figure'. Different girls, different things!!
Speaking of short hair, I found Demi Moore is her sexiest best in G. I. Jane (Ridley Scott movie).
I never knew that Guys noticed so many things and relate them to judge a girl is sexy or not.....but surprize no one talk about "Seerat" I mean good nature and behaviour etc....:)

Can it get any more weird? I just now posted a blog about my year long stint with hair and also told about my fascination about girls with long hair. I see your blog and what else but you are talking about the same matter.
Well, as I said earlier I am attracted to long haired damsels, who attract me like a moth to the flame (excuse the cliche). But last year I tried my hand at growing hair myself and believe me it was an ordeal. So my perception has been amended a bit now. Girls with long hair are not only beautiful, they are also very patient and brave.
Long hair, short hair, i dont think this is the issue here. Most of us think that it is the physical appearance alone that we find attractive in a girl, but i believe it is more than that. What we find sexy in a girl is not just the outer coverings, but rather the whole package. But many of this strike us while we are not aware of it, hence we tend to feel it is just the physical appearance.
Like the way a girl smiles at us, the way she touches us when she laughs at our jokes, the way we maintain a brief but yet long eye contact, the way she looks at you deeply into your eyes especially when her eyes are nicely done, the brief physical contacts now n then, the way she sits with her knees pointing towards you, the way she plays with her hair as you speak (i think this is where the long hair Vs short hair thingie comes in, coz short haired damsels have no hair to toy with :D ), the way you always have something to talk about even though you're meeting her for the first time etc etc... all these affects our subconscious. Hence thats why we never realised it. Anyway, this is just my personal observations, and may differ from what other guys think.
For me Attitude and Intelligence does matter!! So are looks!!
hmm... i never thought anyone would be after long hair! i'm not the one to say that physical appearance doesn't matter but hey, what about connecting with the person behind the appearance? i doubt if any guy would last long with a person who may be outwardly attractive but has absolutely nuthin else goin for her. appearances change with time much more than the person within (who gravitates a little but more or less remains the same otherwise).
attitude and a deep sense of feeling absolutely comfortable with the girl would be closer to the top of my list. physical attractiveness does matter but i just cant think of losing that special someone for want of longer hair or more perfect nails (can never think of these). besides, wait a little and the hair or nails wud grow back. lol!

Face - most girls fall in categories of 'cute'/'beautiful'/'ok'/'pretty'
Figure - I'd be lying if I said this doesn't matter. My favorites here are the pelvic bone, neck and back. Strange? Ask around!
Voice - Don't know how many would agree, but a rude/high pitched voice is a turn-off
Dexterity - The way she uses her hands (maybe similar to the arms one you got from someone) with food/objects etc. 'Delicate' = attractive.
Versatility - Normal is boring :) So someone with varied interests or at least a few passions seems like a great person.
To answer your question on hair - long hair is sexy for some women, short hair is sexier for some! It depends on your individual style and comfort actually. From a guy's point of view, its great to run down a girl's hair, petting et al... it's just very feminine. But tell you what - I actually loved my girl's look when she went short. It suited her perfectly, and made her look younger.
And NO, there is no epitome of perfection in either sexes. We're simply giving you honest opinions ;)
